I am the International Coordinator at the Permaculture Association (Britain) We support a network of people and projects, in the UK and the other parts of the world, through training, networking and research, using the ethics and principles of permaculture.  Through our growing networks we share sustainable solutions for the communities in which we live.
Permaculture is a a design system which works with nature, using principles drawn from nature, to develop integrated systems to provide for our needs of food, water, shelter, energy and community in ways that are efficient and healthy.  Through permaculture design we can improve our individual lives, our society and the environment.

"The philosophy behind permaculture is one of working with nature, rather than against nature, one of looking ta systems and all their functions, rather than just one asking one yield of them, and of allowing systems to demonstrate their own evolution."
David Holmgren

"The problem is not that there are too many snails, rather it is that there are not enough ducks"
Bill Mollison

How's the Permaculture programs going?  What are some of the local plants you are using right now?  What do you have growing in your own garden?
